Komunikasi Pemerintah dalam Menghadapi Kritik Publik untuk Menjaga Legitimasi Kebijakan Publik: Studi Kasus Penyesuaian Harga BBM

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respons komunikasi pemerintah dalam menghadapi kritik publik guna menjaga legitimasi kebijakan penyesuaian harga BBM. Fenomena ini dikaji karena kebijakan BBM merupakan kebijakan publik yang sensitif dan berdampak langsung pada kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui data sekunder dan dokumentasi, meliputi dokumen kebijakan, siaran pers pemerintah, serta pemberitaan media nasional. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons komunikasi pemerintah didominasi oleh justifikasi naratif berbasis rasionalitas ekonomi, responsivitas terhadap kritik yang cenderung simbolik, serta upaya pemeliharaan kepercayaan publik melalui narasi perlindungan sosial. Temuan ini memperkuat pemahaman bahwa legitimasi kebijakan merupakan proses komunikatif yang dinamis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan komunikasi kebijakan yang lebih empatik dan dialogis untuk meningkatkan penerimaan publik.
